The information we hold

If you ask for a quote through this website

• What you need (for example windows, doors or repairs), the kind of job and how soon you need it
• Your name, phone number, email address and postcode
• Anything else you choose to tell us in the message box

If you phone or email us

• The details you share with us, such as what you need, your address and how to reach you
• If you go ahead with work, the details we need to carry it out and invoice it

When you visit this website

• Like every website, ours keeps standard technical records, such as your IP address, the type of browser you use and the pages you visit. These help keep the website running smoothly and safely.

How we use your information

We only use your information to look after you and run our business. Here's what we use it for, and why.

To reply to you and give you a quote

We use your details to get back to you, arrange a visit, give you a quote and carry out the work. We can't do that without them.(Legal basis: to take the steps you've asked for before a contract, and to carry out the contract.)

To keep our accounts

If you become a customer, we keep records of the work and invoices for our accounts and tax, like every business.(Legal basis: legal obligation.)

To keep this website safe

We use basic technical information to stop spam and keep the website secure for everyone who uses it.(Legal basis: legitimate interests.)

We never use your details for marketing, newsletters or offers, and we never sell them. No decisions about you are made automatically by a computer.

Who helps us look after it

We only share your information with a few trusted businesses that help us, and only what they need:

• Our website host, which keeps this website on secure servers and sends quote requests from the website to us
• Our email provider, where quote requests and emails arrive
• Our website developer, who looks after the website

We'd never share your information with anyone else unless the law required it. If any of these businesses store information outside the UK, they have to protect it to the standard UK law expects.

How long we keep it

• Quote requests and customer records: 7 years, then we delete them securely.

Cookies and tracking

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking of any kind, and it doesn't load anything from other companies' websites. If you follow a link to our reviews on Trustpilot, or to our Facebook or Instagram pages, you'll be on their websites, where their own privacy policies apply.

Your rights

It's your information, and you can ask us at any time to:

• send you a copy of the information we hold about you
• correct anything that's wrong
• delete your information, or stop or limit how we use it
• send your information to you or someone else in a common format

Just email contact@unique-glazing.co.uk or ring 07713 136930. There's no charge, and we'll reply within one month. The only things we may need to keep are records such as invoices, which the law asks us to hold for tax purposes. If that applies, we'll explain.

If you're not happy

Please talk to us first and we'll do our best to put things right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, atico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
